Zoning Board of Appeals

A Zoning Board of Appeals Board is established by ordinance for the Village of Lake Odessa.  The zoning board of appeals is made up of five members and appointed by the village council for a term of three years.  The responsibilities of the zoning board of appeals is to:  hear appeals, interpret the zoning regulations, determine precise boundary lines between zoning districts, where uncertainty exists, classify a use which is not specifically mentioned as part of the use regulations of any zoning district so that it conforms to a comparable permitted or prohibited use and authorize specific variances.

All zoning board of appeals meeting dates are published in the local newspaper and are open to the public.
